The Gran Canaria Film Commission takes part in Marché Du Film

The Gran Canaria Film Commission, a brand dependent on the SPEGC, will participate under the umbrella of Canary Islands Film, from July 6 to 15 at the Marché du Film – Cannes Festival, the most important film market in the world.

# MarchéduFilm is the largest international meeting of professionals on the #cinema industry, where around 12,500 participants come together among producers, distributors, sales agents, programmers and others, from 121 countries.

The Gran Canaria Film Commission, together with the rest of the Canary Islands institutions, will maintain an agenda of meetings with producers and filmmakers from around the world to promote the advantages that the islands offer to host audiovisual productions.

The Gran Canaria Film Commission continues its promotional work by assisting MIFA, the most important animated film market in the world.

The Economic  Development Agency of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria through the Gran Canaria Film Commission, will be present from June 15th to 18th in its online version of the Annecy International Animation Market (MIFA), the main market in Europe for the animation film industry.

This year the event will be held for the first time in a hybrid way, with a smaller exhibition space in the city of Annecy and a virtual platform to also facilitate remote participation.

The Gran Canaria Film Commission will participate under the umbrella of the Canary Islands Films label, together with the rest of the entities that make up the label. In the most important animation market in Europe, with the aim of making known the advantages that the island offers for the digital animation industry, both to attract new companies to the island and to support local studios to attract new projects.

A delegation of studios based in Gran Canaria will participate in this online edition of the most important market in Europe to search for projects, co-production and distribution of their own IPs.

Gran Canaria Film participates in the European Film Market of the Berlinale 2021

The Gran Canaria Film Commission is participating in the Berlinale’s European Film Market edition, which is taking place online this week.

The #GCFC will hold about twenty meetings with producers and filmmakers from around the world to promote the advantages that the island offers for the audiovisual production sector, within the framework of the first festival and reference market in Europe of the year.
