Gran Canaria has hosted the filming of the national feature film “La Casa entre los Cactus”

Gran Canaria has hosted the filming of the national feature film “La Casa entre los Cactus”.

The production, which started on Monday the 12th of April, has been shot in its entirely and over the last six weeks in different municipalities of the island, such as Arucas, Firgas, Valleseco and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. This feature film is directed by the Barcelona-based filmmaker Carlota González-Adrio and starring Ariadna Gil, Daniel Grao and Ricardo Gómez.

“La Casa entre los cactus” is the second national feature film of the year shot on the island of Gran Canaria and has had the support of the Island Council, through the Society for the Economic Promotion of Gran Canaria, under its brand name Gran Canaria Film Commission .

The film is an adaptation of the best-seller by Spanish author Paul Pen, and revolves around a family that lives among the huge cacti in a unique landscape, whose lives will be altered by the arrival of a hiker seeking refuge.

It is a production made by DZ Largometrajes y Audiovisuales AIE, Cine365 Films, La Terraza Films, Virtual Contenidos and Ikiru Films. A significant number of Canarian professionals are involved in this production, including technical staff, creative staff and figuration, as well as different local companies that provide auxiliary services and equipment rental.
