In turn, there are other categories for TV series and a special category “Animation Du monde” for emerging animation markets. This event brings together more than 13,000 industry professionals from more than 50 countries.<\/span><\/p>\n

MIPCOM<\/a> Launched in 1985, the largest TV market in the world brings together every year the most influential TV and digital content executives for four days of creative exchange, networking, screenings and inspiring talks with more than 13,800 professionals from the audiovisual sector. Over the years, MIPCOM has become the most essential time to forge new alliances and negotiate financiation, distribution or co-production agreements.<\/span><\/p>\n

Cartoon Business<\/a> is a high-level, two-day seminar focused on new financing models brought about by changes in the animation sector’s production and distribution markets. Between 17 and 20 active professionals will present on a specific subject: case study, survey and their know-how in a particular field. <\/span><\/p>\n

The purpose of the event is to explore ways to diversify sources of financing and increase income for animation series, by reviewing public and private funds available at the European level, exploring new business models, the potential for licensing and merchandising, legal issues related to co-production contracts, and in general dealing with a wide range of topics to help animation professionals manage budgets and improve the exploitation of their projects. <\/span><\/p>\n

With an average of 100 international participants (business leaders, investors, producers of small and large children’s content companies, broadcasters, financing specialists and “new” animation partners such as toy companies or book publishers) share their experience to help incorporate new sources of income and develop new business models. It also includes several informal networking sessions: organization of dinners, cocktails, joint outings to other recreational and cultural activities.<\/span><\/p>\n
