With mean annual temperatures that vary between 18 and 25 degrees centigrade Gran Canaria has a spring climate the whole year round, recognised by the international scientific community as one of the best in the world. The unusual trait of the Islands relief landform also offers the possibility of finding a great variety of microclimates. Therefore, while in the coastal areas the climate is sunny nearly the whole year round, in the areas with the highest altitudes the temperatures are somewhat lower. In fact, paradoxically, some days of the year, at only an hour’s drive by car, you can be bathing and sunbathing on the beach or playing in the snow on the mountaintops.
The temperature of the sea is similarly warm, varying between 18 and 22 degrees centigrade. This circumstance, together with the 2,700 hours of sun which can be enjoyed annually in Gran Canaria, make the Island the perfect place where to develop open air activities all months of the year.
